Osteopathy

What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is the study of all the systems in the body and how they’re interrelated. Osteopaths’ are tested for their hands-on techniques in manipulating the body . Most Osteopath programs also require a case study-based thesis project, where one issue is addressed for several clients, and the treatment for this one issue includes working on interconnected systems. For example if someone has an issue with their shoulder you also need to consider their neck, the nerves, fluid dynamics, sympathetics, organs, and it’s connection with the rest of the spine and lower extremity. Osteopaths carry immense knowledge in the interrelation between these systems and how to manually assist the body and tissues to a better position in order to promote optimal healing of the body and mind.
